Filip Ekvall started as the new CEO of Brav on Jan. 8, as former CEO Erik Sønsterud retired from his position. Mr Ekvall has been a member of Brav’s board of directors since June 2024, and brings almost 20 years of experience from H&M Group, Brav said. During his time at H&M, he held various key leadership roles including Regional Manager North Europe, Country Manager in Norway, Sweden, and South Korea, and most recently as the Global Director of Sales.
“Filip is a highly appreciated leader with a proven track record across his different roles at H&M,” said Gustaf Öhrn, Chairman of Brav. “His experience across the entire value chain, including product, marketing, customer experience in-store and digital, as well as supply chain, makes me confident Filip is the right person to drive the company’s future success.”
Brav is the parent company of Swix, Lundhags, Toko, Helsport and Ulvang and focuses on clothing and soft and hard goods for the snow sport and outdoor industry. In 2023, Brav AS had a turnover of NOK 1.1 billion (€102.1m).
