Cornilleau, the France-based table tennis company, has announced the appointment of Hélène Lupette as general manager, effective May 2. She will run the business alongside Michel Zany, the company’s president for the past 21 years.
Lupette joined Cornilleau ten years ago as purchasing manager and then served as operations director, with responsibilities for the company’s logistics, supply chain, R&D, production and ITs. Prior to joining Cornilleau, she worked at Essex Europe, Magnetto Wheels and Rhodia.
Cornilleau was established in 1946 as a simple family carpentry business, run by Emile Cornilleau. The turning point for the company occurred in 1969, when BHV, a large Paris department store, decided to add ping pong tables to its catalog and ordered 300 tables from Cornilleau. The small family business invested in the necessary equipment to rapidly evolve into industrial scale. It was the beginning of the Cornilleau’s saga.
Cornilleau is based in Bonneuil-les-Eaux, in northern France. Its products are sold in more than 80 countries. Cornilleau generates around 55 percent of its sales abroad.
