Bernhard Leichtfried is the new Sales and Marketing Director for the Slovenian ski company Elan Sports Division.
Leichtfried brings a wealth of experience to Elan, having held key roles in some of the most influential companies in the sports and outdoor industries. Most recently, he served as Head of Purchasing & Sales at Sport 2000 Austria, while at Sport 2000 International, he managed the winter sports category as Category Manager, developing international sales and marketing strategies for key markets such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy. Before this, Leichtfried held a key position at Fischer Sports GmbH.
Leichtfried’s extensive experience is supported by his educational background, including a Global Executive MBA focused on strategic management and corporate entrepreneurship, said Leon Korošec, Director of Sports Division VP Elan Group. ”His language skills in German, English and Italian, combined with his deep understanding of European sports retail, makes him ideally suited to lead Elan’s global sales and marketing initiatives,” Korošec concluded.
