Freddy Sobin served for two years as XXL’s CEO. After a long and intense struggle getting XXL on the right course, he has now been relieved.
News of the sports and outdoor chain XXL is coming down like rain right now. Now, just after the shift in majority ownership from Altor to Frasers, the whole board has been changed. And XXL has itself announced that its CEO since May 2023, Freddy Sobin, has been dismissed.
Nicholas Fox is stepping in as interim CEO, while a permanent replacement is sought. Fox has over 18 years of experience in leadership roles in the retail and sports industries. Most recently, he was the head of Sports Directory.
