Skechers latest signing in their quest to become a major football boot brand is official. West Ham United and Ghana national team winger Mohammed Kudus is the latest member of the team. Kudus, known to fans by his nickname Star Boy, has already been seen playing in Skechers Razor – a speed boot claiming to offer agility, comfort and feel – and is now signed on as an official Skechers athlete to appear in multi-platform marketing campaigns supporting Skechers Football.
After developing his talent at an academy in Ghana, Kudus made his professional debut at the age of 18 with the Danish club Nordsjælland. He later broke onto the global stage by signing with Eredivisie club Ajax, where he scored 17 goals, before moving to Premier League club West Ham United in 2023. On the international stage, Kudus has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for Ghana since 2019. His accolades include being named Eredivisie Team of the Month four times, as well as the CAF (Confederation of African Football) Team of the Year and Ghana Footballer of the Year in 2023.
