Current executives Chuck Ward and Luca Barile have been promoted to new roles.
Canadian brand Gildan Activewear has announced two executive leadership nominations, both effective March 1, 2025.
Chuck Ward, currently President, Sales, Marketing and Distribution, has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a newly created role. Ward joined the company in 2011 through the acquisition of GoldToe Moretz, where he was EVP and Chief Financial Officer.
Luca Barile, who has served as CFO, Sales, Marketing and Distribution since 2023, will take over from Rhod J. Harries as EVP, Chief Financial Officer. Harries had informed the Board that he would retire on Jan. 1, 2026, after nearly ten years in the EVP, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer role. To facilitate a smooth transition over the ten-month period, Harries will retain his Chief Administrator Officer role until his retirement. Barile joined Gildan in 2012.
