The International Golf Federation (IGF) Board has announced the election of Guy Kinnings as its new Chairman. He takes over the role from Keith Pelley, who recently joined Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment in Toronto. Kinnings is currently the Chief Executive of the European Tour Group, a role he began on April 2 and that he also took over from Pelley. Kinnings will serve as IGF chair through 2027, a timeframe that will include the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Kinnings has more than 30 years of experience within the golf industry. He joined the European Tour Group prior to the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National in France. He also had overall responsibility for the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome. Additionally, he served as the European Tour Group’s Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Commercial Officer. Early in his career, he was a member of IMG’s legal team in London. He then moved to its golf division to become IMG’s Senior International Vice President and Global Head of Golf.
