Gymshark has announced the appointment of Hannah Mercer to the newly established role of General Manager, wholesale and retail, marking another significant addition to its executive team. Mercer brings experience to the brand, having spent six years at Adidas, where she served as Global Vice President, overseeing the brand’s retail strategy on a global scale. Her track record also includes senior retail positions at Nike, Harrods and House of Fraser.

In her new capacity, Mercer will spearhead the expansion of Gymshark’s business across all physical channels, aiming to showcase the brand’s excellence on a global scale. She will report directly to Gymshark’s Chief Brand Officer, Noel Mack

Gymshark expressed confidence in Mercer’s ability to drive market share and enhance turnover through increased consumer engagement. Mercer herself expressed excitement about joining Gymshark, citing the brand’s bold vision of transitioning from e-commerce to a fully integrated omnichannel approach. “I’ve been closely following Gymshark’s journey for years, and joining the team was an easy decision,” she commented. ”The brand’s commitment to community-building and global expansion is incredibly inspiring, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a dynamic organization.”

Her appointment follows a series of key hires at Gymshark, including Mat Dunn as Chief Financial Officer, Carly Natalizia as Chief Digital Officer and Laurent Madeleine as Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Founder and CEO Ben Francis hailed Mercer’s appointment as a pivotal moment for Gymshark, highlighting her extensive retail experience and her dedication to fostering inclusivity and diversity within the brand. He expressed confidence in Mercer’s ability to accelerate Gymshark’s growth trajectory and drive innovation across all channels.
