Fourth place in Switzerland’s best employer rankings – driven entirely by employee feedback. For a sport retailer, that result is more than an award.
INTERSPORT Schweiz AG has placed fourth in its category at the Great Place To Work Switzerland Best Workplaces 2026 awards, one of the few sporting goods retailers to feature in the annual ranking.
The Great Place To Work methodology is based entirely on employee feedback. Companies are evaluated on how staff rate trust, collaboration and cultural authenticity. The award places Intersport Schweiz alongside employers in sectors with historically stronger employer brand equity, including technology, consulting and financial services. Sport retail rarely features at this level.

Employers that score well in Great Place To Work surveys tend to show lower voluntary turnover and higher in-store conversion. That is a direct commercial argument at a time when Swiss sport retail is competing for qualified staff in a tight labor market and against pure-play e-commerce operators that can offer remote flexibility. Culture, in this reading, is not a soft metric. It is a cost and retention tool.
