Italian brand Kappa has appointed Rémi Garnier to lead its commercial operations as as Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, the French executive will report to Kappa’s CEO, Federico Trono. Garnier has spent the past 15 years at Kappa France, most recently as Country Manager.

Kappa is part of Turin-based BasicNet Group. The group’s portfolio of brands also includes Robe di Kappa, K-WaySuperga, Briko, Jesus Jeans, Sabelt and Sebago. On June 30, Kappa and Kappa-owned Robe di Kappa had a worldwide total of 1,173 monobrand stores and shop-in-shops. 

Kappa will be an official technical partner, alongside fellow Italian brand Briko, of the Italian Triathlon Federation for the next four seasons, supporting the athletes through to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

During the first half of 2025, BasicNet reported €567.1 million in aggregate sales of Group brand products, representing a 4.3 percent increase from the first half of 2024. Also in the first half of this year, Kappa Authentic, a Kappa spin-off fashion brand, was relaunched.
