LIV Golf has announced Scott O’Neil as new Chief Executive Officer of the global golf league, effective immediately. Greg Norman, the company’s first CEO and Commissioner, will hand off day-to-day management but will remain involved with LIV Golf, said the organization.
O’Neil brings LIV Golf more than 25 years of experience in managing and leading global sports and entertainment brands. Prior to being appointed CEO of LIV Golf, he served as CEO of British entertainment company Merlin Entertainments. Before Merlin, O’Neil was CEO of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, a portfolio of professional sports, entertainment and investment properties.
