BasicNet has announced the appointment of Luca Lo Curzio as the new CEO of its K-Way brand. The appointment will be effective in the first quarter of 2025. The appointment follows the recent announcement of Permira’s strategic investment in K-Way. Lo Curzio will start in his role as soon as the regulatory authorities have granted their approval, expected for Q1 2025, and the operation is therefore finalized, said BasicNet in a statement.

Luca Lo Curzio has more than 20 years of experience in the retail and luxury sectors. He is currently CEO at Jil Sander. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at groups like L’Oréal, Danone, Bain & Company, Luxottica and Zegna.

In addition to K-Way, Turin-based BasicNet is the owner of the Kappa, Robe di Kappa, Superga, Briko, Jesus Jeans, Sabelt and Sebago brands.
