The Supervisory Board has accepted Arthur Hoeld’s decision to step down. Both parties have mutually agreed on the early termination of his appointment as a member of the Executive Board, effective at the end of Oct. 31, 2024. The Board has appointed Mathieu Sidokpohou to succeed Hoeld as Executive Board member for Global Sales, effective November 1, 2024. Sidokpohou, a French national, joined the company in 2020 as General Manager Adidas France. In July 2021, he became General Manager of the Cluster South Europe before taking over as Managing Director for Europe in 2023.

“Mathieu has exactly the experience and the attitude that we need at this point of our turnaround to continue the momentum and further grow our business together with our partners,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. ”Mathieu and his team have led the recent success in our home market, Europe, which grew by more than 20 percent. I look forward to working with him and seizing the opportunities ahead of us. I would also like to thank Arthur for his partnership when I started my new role at Adidas, for his strong dedication to the brand and for all the outstanding achievements made under his leadership throughout the last 26 years,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden.

The Executive Committee will consist of Bjørn Gulden, CEO, Harm Ohlmeyer, CFO, Michelle Robertson, Global Human Resources, People and Culture and Mathieu Sidokpohou, Global Sales, as of November 1, 2024.
