Nike has established a new executive post, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and hired Cheryan Jacob to fill it, according to Bloomberg, which has seen a company memorandum on the subject.

“The CIO will play a key role in delivering on our priority of simplifying, standardizing and modernizing our platforms,” wrote Chief Technology Officer Muge Erdirik Dogan in the memo. Jacob will lead the efforts to modernize Nike’s technology infrastructure. He has previously worked for Salesforce, Microsoft and Flexport.
