Achraf Hakimi joins Under Armour’s expanding list of talented young football athletes across EMEA.

After Antonio Rüdiger, Pedro Porro and others, Morocco national team player and Paris Saint-Germain’s vice-captain Achraf Hakimi has joined Under Armour’s expanding list of talented young football athletes across EMEA.

Smaller football brands, like UA, New Balance and Skechers, are working to narrow the gap with Nike, Adidas and Puma. And in Hakimi, Under Armour sees big potential to build up its football presence. When Morocco stopped its big brother Spain in round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, it was due largely to Hakimi, who stopped numerous attacks from the Spaniards and won over the crowd.

Hakimi will play in Under Armour’s Shadow Elite 3 boots

With numerous goals and assists so far this season, the Paris Saint-Germain star is in top form, as the club sits comfortably at the top of Ligue 1 and prepares for the Champions League quarter-finals.

Hakimi will play in Under Armour’s Shadow Elite 3 boots, the brand’s latest football footwear innovation, and will wear its latest performance and sportswear products off the pitch, from the Challenger, Terrace and Unstoppable ranges.

“Achraf puts a major stake in the ground for Under Armour in football. It demonstrates our commitment and unwavering focus to grow our football business through world class athletes,” Kevin Ross, Managing Director for Under Armour EMEA, said. “We can’t wait to go on this journey together and take Achraf’s game and career to the next level.”
