Puma has hired Andreas Hubert to become its chief operating officer on Sept. 1. He will join the company’s management board, which will be expanding to five members.

In the newly defined role, Hubert will oversee global sourcing, sustainability, product development, IT and logistics. These responsibilities were previously split between the CFO, CEO and Chief Product Officer. It was only one year ago that Chief Sourcing Officer Anne-Laure Descours left Puma.
COO joins from Adidas
Hubert joins from Adidas, where he served as Chief Information Officer until June 2025. During his two-decade tenure at Adidas, he held various leadership roles in IT and sourcing, and for 12 years was based in Hong Kong.
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld said Hubert’s appointment supports the brand’s efforts to streamline operations and drive digital transformation as it enters its next phase of growth.
Puma is currently facing strong headwinds, and it seems that CEO Hoeld – who previously held management positions at Adidas – wanted the support of his former colleague to help Puma get back on track.
