Srixon Sports Europe, a company specializing in golf ball technology and innovation, has promoted Lionel Caron to Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2024. Caron has worked for the company for 25 years, holding various positions. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer for about a year. Prior to that, he was Chief Sales & Marketing UK and Europe, and President Sales & Marketing for Continental Europe, among other roles. In his new functions as CEO, he will be responsible to lead the company’s distribution structure in Europe, the UK and the Middle East.
Srixon is part of SRI Sports Limited, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd, the global tire and rubber company based in Japan that also owns Dunlop Sport. Srixon takes its name from the company’s initials (Sumitomo Rubber Industries) plus ON (as in “Onward).”
