French sustainable sneaker brand Veja has appointed Anthony Bunn as Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He replaces Artaud Frenoy, who is switching to Sales Director for Asia.
Bunn has been working as an independent consultant since 2020. He began his career in 1994 as a Sales Manager at Timberland. In 2003, he joined Quiksilver’s technical division as Sales Director for Europe and the Middle East. Six years later, he joined VF Corp., where he was Director for France, Spain, and Portugal for the Timberland brand for eight years. In 2017, he joined French footwear specialist Royer Group as Managing Director of the junior fashion and retail division.
Veja was founded in 2005 by childhood friends Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion. Since its inception, the brand has integrated ecological materials into sneaker creation. Veja claims to use Brazilian and Peruvian organic cotton grown by farmer associations for the canvas and laces, as well as Amazonian rubber for the soles and various innovative materials made from recycled plastic bottles or recycled polyester. Its sneakers are produced in factories in Brazil and Portugal. The logistics of its Veja stores in Europe and e-commerce are managed by Log’ins, a professional and social inclusion company, Veja explains on its website.
