Three-time open water world champion Leonie Beck is taking on a new role in the swim industry. The long-time Arena athlete has joined the brand’s sports marketing team as Local Sports Promotion Manager for Germany. In this position, Beck will be working closely with Sales Manager Jan Säger to support swimming clubs throughout the country.

As a central contact person for German swimming communities, Beck will engage directly with local clubs through regular on-site visits. Her mission is to strengthen relationships, initiate new projects and deepen Arena’s connection to grassroots swimming.
In addition to her decorated athletic career – with three world championship titles, three Olympic appearances, and multiple German championship wins – Beck brings marketing and communications experience to the table. Her deep understanding of the sport from both a grassroots and an elite level makes her a strong bridge between the brand, the community and high-performance sports.
“Arena was always more than just a sponsor to me – they were a true partner,” Beck said. “Now I’m excited to combine my experience as an athlete with my passion for communication and help shape the future of swimming in Germany together with the clubs.”
The hire aligns with Arena’s broader strategy to expand its club engagement in Germany, one of the world’s largest swimming markets. According to Sales Director Oliver Pfaff, the country’s 2,500 swim clubs represent a critical part of the brand’s vision: “Swimming is a mass sport. We want to actively support clubs and their talents – and help shape the next generation of gold medalists.
This also underscores what Arena CEO Peter Graschi promotes in his latest interview: ”We want to support communities as a brand and find our role here.”
