Zalando SE has named Anna Dimitrova as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). On Jan. 1, 2026, she will succeed Dr. Sandra Dembeck, who will be leaving the company at the end of 2025 to pursue new professional opportunities. Dimitrova brings extensive international finance and digital experience from Vodafone Germany, where she served as CFO since 2018.

The appointment signals Zalando’s focus on strengthening financial strategy and operational execution as it continues to navigate a challenging European retail environment and increase profitability in core markets.

Anna Dimitrova’s appointment was announced in Berlin on Oct. 29. Before joining Vodafone, she held multiple leadership roles in finance and strategy across international markets. Her experience in digital transformation and large-scale operations is expected to support Zalando’s next phase of growth and efficiency. Dr. Sandra Dembeck, who has served as CFO since 2022, will remain in office until year-end to ensure a smooth transition.

Zalando’s leadership change comes as the platform continues to adapt its business model, shifting from wholesale to a hybrid marketplace and scaling profitability amid slower online demand. Financial discipline and investor confidence remain top priorities.

With Anna Dimitrova stepping in as CFO, Zalando aims to strengthen its financial governance and strategic agility for 2026 and beyond, while maintaining momentum in digital transformation and sustainable growth.
