PERFORMANCE DAYS concluded its autumn 2025 edition on 30 October with approximately 4,500 visitors and 515 exhibitors, marking record attendance for the Munich-based trade fair.
Performance Day’s focus on “Textile to Textile – the role of recyclers” reflected the industry’s pivot towards circularity. The two-day event delivered four key developments:
1. Innovation infrastructure expands
The fair introduced a redesigned Innovation Area featuring the Innovation Hub by Future Fabrics Expo, providing deep dives into new EU regulations and future textile development approaches.
2. Design meets function
A new Creative Area, curated with designer Nora Kühner, merged aesthetics with performance through upcycling pieces and material combinations, whilst the Footwear Area delivered practical insights via interactive workshops on sole technology.
3. Format experimentation pays off
The DAY 0 Conference abandoned traditional presentations for an interactive workshop format led by textile professional Bowie Miles, focusing on waste elimination principles.
4. Platform consolidation
Industry feedback and record attendance underscore Performance Days’ positioning as the primary curated platform combining material innovation, sustainability education, and networking.
Mission accomplished.
Marco Weichert, CEO of Performance Days, emphasised the event’s mission to provide “two days full of inspiration, education, new ideas, fabric innovations and a valuable, relaxed working atmosphere.” Judging by the enthusiastic reaction of attendees and industry participants, that mission was clearly achieved.
