Petter Northug, a Norwegian star cross-country skier, plans to launch his own clothing brand. Northug is involved in the company PN Active Wear, which will develop training clothing together with two sponsors of the Norwegian national cross-country ski team sponsors, Swix and Skiforbundet, according to the Norwegian newspaper Finansavisen. Initially, the active wear range will be targeted at elite athletes and not the general public. The skier's father, John Northug, will be the chairman of the venture. Petter Northug will have veto rights to products bearing his name but he will not be directly involved in the company's day-to-day operations.
