Pierangelo Zanetta will step down as managing director of Shimano Europe Fishing Holding on Jan. 1, after over ten years in the job. His position at the head of Shimano's European fishing tackle operations will be taken over by the current international sales director of the same company, Cor Ax, who joined Shimano from outside the industry in May. Zanetta, who will turn 60 years old in April, will move to a new role as communications director of the company. He will remain in his position as president of the European Fishing Tackle Association (Effta). He will also remain on the board of Normark, Shimano's joint venture with Rapala.
