Poc Sweden is collaborating with In Case of Emergency (ICE) in an effort to provide emergency personnel with correct medical history about the victims of avalanches such as blood group, allergies and other basic information like their name and emergency contacts, even if the victims are unconscious. One of the most interesting new avalanche protection products being made available for the 2014/15 season was a new ski racing helmet by Poc, the Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS, whose multi-directional impact protection system reduces the rotational forces to the brain in case of an oblique impact. Its sensor monitors impact and deformation of the liner, alerting the wearer when it's time to replace the helmet.
