Poc, the Swedish company owned by Black Diamond, has partnered with Light Flex Technology to explore an innovative printed light technology which uses active light to make riders visible, as opposed to the passive reflective technology used on most bike apparel. According to Light Flex, its new printed light technology can be incorporated into any garment to increase visibility. The patented technology is said to be lightweight, flexible, washable and easily integrated. The luminous vest is currently under testing in the prototype stage.
