POC, the Swedish sportswear specialist, has released a new highly ventilated bike helmet, called Ventral Air. The new helmet is largely based on the POC Ventral, launched in March 2018, but features an increased number of vents, to improve the helmet's cooling properties. The 15 frontal ventilation ports and air channels within the lining of the helmet are designed to enhance the air flow. The company said that the new helmet, which is also described as extremely lightweight, is meant to fulfil the requirements of long mountain climbs, riders who prefer a light and highly ventilated helmet, and riders who use it in hot climates.
