Premier Padel, the global pro padel tour founded by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) with the International Padel Federation (FIP) and the Professional Padel Association (PPA), has announced the appointment of Eno Polo as CEO, effective Nov. 16. Polo has a long-standing experience in the sports industry, including extensive experience in padel and tennis. He will join Premier Padel from LeDap Group, an international group of padel companies operating over 120 clubs with over 700 padel courts worldwide, where he has served as CEO. Before that, he held senior roles at Nike Europe and North America and served as president of Havaianas EMEA and North America, president of Global Brands Group (GBG) Europe, and senior consultant to FIFA.

Premier Padel was first launched in 2022 and, within its first year, has become one of the fastest-growing tours in world sports. More than 500 players from around the world participated in Premier Padel tournaments in its first year. Premier Padel secured multi-year broadcast deals covering more than 180 countries and reaching more than 150 million households, while the inaugural Premier Padel 2022 season garnered 22.7 million views on YouTube. Over 110 leading professional players joined Premier Padel in March this year.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the owner of Premier Padel, acquired the rival tour World Padel Tour from its organizer, Spanish firm Damm, in August to combine the two competitions into a unified global circuit starting in 2024. The new unified tour, governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP), will be called Premier Padel. Polo’s immediate responsibility will be to manage the merger of the two tours.

QSI is led by Nasser Al-Khelaifi, also President of French football club PSG and Chairman of Qatari state-owned beIN Media Group.
