Bollé is launching a new augmented reality (AR) filter that allows users to try out its Phantom lens, found in its Nevada or Ryft goggles, and see what they look like while wearing Bollé’s helmets from their smartphone without having to physically touch the products. Once they have seen the goggle and helmet on their head, users can also introduce goggle effects into their surroundings - like anti-fog, photochromic and others - to see Phantom lenses in action. After selecting the lens that suits their needs, customers can directly search for a retailer and purchase it. The AR technology, developed in partnership with QReal and M7 Innovations, is expected to increase sales opportunities while reducing the chances of returns.
