London based brand Lanuuk, which has previously specialized in modesty swimwear – be it for cultural, religious, medical or body conscious reasons – has launched its first athletic collection.

The capsule is designed with modesty and ease of movement in mind, with a focus on creating easy-to-wear styles in flattering silhouettes using functional fabrics in a range of classic colors. It features tunics and leggings as well as matching headscarves and turbans.

With several studies showing that unsuitable clothing and equipment is a contributor to the exercise gap between men and women, and falling participation levels as girls grow older, the brand explains: “Our aim is to bring variety and versatility into the athleisure space. Not just for those motivated by religious reasons but also to bridge the gap and provide comfortable and stylish solutions to those looking for more coverage during their workouts.”

Lanuuk was established in 2018 by two women from differing international backgrounds and experiences, with a passion to create full coverage swimwear that does not compromise on femininity, style, quality or comfort. Its collections are designed to suit a range of body types and style preferences.
