The European Sponsorship Association (ESA) has revealed the second wave of results from its “ESA Sponsorship Sentiment Tracker,” an industry survey intended to measure the confidence of sponsorship organizations across Europe. Despite the heavy impact of the pandemic, respondents are showing increasing confidence in the recovery of the European sports and entertainment sector. The share of respondents who predict a revenue increase for this year has now risen to 23 percent as compared to only 6 percent in the first wave of the tracker, conducted in April. The average confidence rate has also risen, from 5.48 out of 10 in the first survey to 5.76 this month. Confidence is strongest in continental Europe, where the rate has risen from 5.33 to 5.72 (+0.39 points).
