Slovenian ski company Elan has launched a new ski series called Primetime. According to Elan, the collection is designed to reignite the excitement of skiing on the slopes. It consists of eight ski models, including four men’s and four women’s skis, that combine a fresh and youthful design philosophy with cutting-edge carving technology.
“Elan invented carving, and we felt it was time to take the carving ski category to a whole new level, making resort skiing more attractive and more fun,” said Elan’s Product Manager David Primožič.

The new Primetime series combines the Elan PowerMatch technology – an adjustment and reinforcement of the amount of material in the ski to the needs of the skier – with Elan’s well-known Amphibio profile, which combines classic camber on the inside edge and a rocker on the outside edge. This is designed to provide even more precise power transfer to the ski edges and – depending on the detailed construction of each individual Primetime model – give every skier natural control in the turns, regardless of their ability.
Like all Elan skis, the new Primetime series is handcrafted in the heart of the Slovenian Alps using 100 percent green power and, in some cases, the brand’s own solar power to reduce its environmental impact. Similarly, all materials used in the manufacture of the skis come from within a maximum radius of 400 kilometers from the factory, which means very short transport distances.
