Swiss snowboard brand Nidecker has introduced the Supermatic, an innovative binding that offers automatic operation, a universal design that suits all snowboard boots from any manufacturer – whereas most of these systems require specific boots – and a dual slip-in and strap entry system. Traditional two-strap bindings are slow to get in and out of, causing an annoying delay every time a rider gets off the lift, says Nidecker. The new Supermatic takes a few seconds to engage with a hands-free automatic Drop-In Tech design. A simple release lever makes exiting just as rapid. Designed for new riders to pros, the Supermatic is the result of a four-year work in development.
