Nike is partnering with Strava, the subscription platform for connected fitness, in a pilot program to extend fitness services to more people. Starting in June, the users of the Nike Run Club and Nike Training Club apps will be able to seamlessly upload their activity into Strava to share with their community across both platforms. Nike will also begin hosting challenges on Strava later this summer. The partnership has been described by Nike as part of its efforts to accelerate its “digital transformation momentum.” With over 100 million athletes in 195 countries and 750,000 clubs on the platform, Strava is one of the largest communities of active people in the world. For Strava, this new partnership “underscores Nike and Strava’s commitment to the connected fitness space.”
