Puma and Blends, a California-based retailer of sneakers and apparel, have collaborated on a new edition of the Cell Endura, a Puma sneaker originally sold in the 1990s. The upper is made of mesh and polyurethane-coated leather with metallic silver overlays and a color fade. The midsole has Puma's Cell cushion, with polyurethane elastomer blow-molded into hexagonal cells for stability. The sneaker went on sale at Blends stores and on the Puma website on Jan. 24. It was set to hit select retailers two days later. Blends was founded a bit more than a decade ago by Tak Kato and Mike Toe, both of whom grew up in Japan.
