Puma Football has signed a long-term endorsement deal worth €100 million with Jan Oblak, the Slovenian goalie who plays for Atlético Madrid. Oblak has been named the Spanish league's best goalie three times in a row and is one of the three goalkeepers included in the latest list of the 30 players nominated for the Golden Ball. With Madrid, he has allowed zero goals in 100 of his 178 games played. Since going to Madrid in 2014, moreover, he has kept goals scored against his team to zero in 79 games – the best record of any goalie in Europe's top five leagues. Oblak will be wearing Puma Future shoes and gloves as of this month. Among the other soccer players Puma has recently endorsed are Luis Suárez of Barcelona FC and Vincent Kompany of Manchester City and the Belgian national team. Both of those deals were signed in the final months of last year.
