Puma has appointed Andy Koehler, 56, as its new chief operating officer, effective June 1. Based at its head office in Herzogenaurach, he will be in charge of such operations as supply chain management, logistics and IT. He will thus take over the functions of the former COO, Klaus Bauer, and of the former chief supply chain officer, Reiner Seitz, integrating the management team that will work with Puma's future CEO, Björn Gulden. Until now he has been head of global sourcing at the Adidas Group and managing director of its operations in Hong Kong. Between 2004 and 2008 he was in charge of purchasing and other functions at an automotive and industrial products company, Johnson Controls Automotive.
