Puma has appointed Matthias Mecking as new general manager for its team sports division from the start of April. He is taking over from Filip Trulsson, who will help with the transition and then move on to another as yet unannounced position at Puma. Mecking started in the sports industry in 1996 at Adidas. He held several leading positions in the team sports business, from product management to marketing. Mecking is based at Puma's head office in Herzogenaurach and reporting directly to Bjørn Gulden, its chief executive.
