Puma has hired Philippe Bocquillon, senior vice president of sales at Adidas Greater China, to lead its business in the country. He is replacing Nicole Au, who joined Puma in 2009 and is leaving the company. Despite increased investments in the last years, Puma still lags far behind its leading international rivals in the Chinese market. Bocquillon has been with Adidas since 2004, after several years at LVMH, the French luxury group. The Frenchman will report to Ludovic Manzon, who became Puma's general manager in Asia Pacific and Japan last year. Several senior executive appointments, including that of chief executive, are still pending at Puma.
