Puma has partnered with Goonj in India to promote the circular economy. Goonj is a non-profit organization specializing in using urban surplus to spark grassroots development work. The German sportswear brand encouraged its Indian customers to drop off used apparel and shoes from Aug. 22 to Sept. 10. Collection boxes were set up at more than 360 Puma stores across the country. Customers could also choose to arrange for a pick-up by submitting a request form on Puma.com. In exchange for every contribution made in-store or online, the consumers received Puma gift vouchers. The used items will be consolidated and sent to Goonj's processing centers, where teams will be repairing and packing them to prepare customized kits for the local needs of people across the country.
