Puma has taken over the distribution in Canada, retroactively to Jan. 1, by acquiring all the assets of ATA Inc. of Montreal, a 32-year-old company which has been its Canadian licensee since July 2000. Separately, Puma has confirmed the nomination of Miguel Andrade as general manager for the European Economic Area and announced the appointment of Michael Specht as global retail manager, responsible also for brand positioning in Europe. He replaces Kirsten Kimpton, who leaves Puma after four years. Specht is leaving as general manager of Foot Locker for Central and Eastern Europe and for Scandinavia, based in Germany. That position is being taken over by Michael Lange, who has been in charge of real estate throughout the region.
