Puma is reorganizing the business structure of Austria Puma Dassler, the head office for Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, located in Salzburg, Austria. The new structure will take effect on Jan. 1, 2020. Austria Puma Dassler has been handling all purchasing for Puma's subsidiaries in the three regions, placing product orders on their behalf with Puma's global purchasing company, Puma International Trading. From next year, all subsidiaries will place their orders directly with Puma International Trading. Austria Puma Dassler will in turn focus on its core business: the operative support of the company's distributors in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Israel. Puma aims to optimize its business processes and secure its head office in Salzburg. To eliminate jobs in purchasing, customer service and storage facilities, Austria Puma Dassler will be working out a social plan with the worker's council and consider internal transfers to other offices. According to media reports, 30 out of a total of 95 jobs will be affected by the reorganization.
