Puma, which emphasizes speed in its brand message, has added two more running champions, Asafa Powell and Pierre-Ambroise Bosse, to its stable of sponsored athletes. Powell has run more 100-meter races in less than ten seconds than any other champion, a total of 93. Bosse is a French athlete who qualified as the world's second-fastest 800-meter runner last year. Both are expected to participate in next year's Olympics. Powell will also work with Puma to design a Sub-10 King range of sportswear and spikes. Powell lauded Puma's support for Jamaican track and field, which is most prominent through its partnership with the country's track and field federation and with Usain Bolt, but also involves grassroots support. Powell has been running in Li Ning shoes for the last two years. He was briefly suspended last year after testing positive for the banned substance oxilofrone. Powell denied doping. Puma's team of athletes has been expanded lately with the U.S. sprinter Jenna Prandini and the Australian sprint hurdler Michelle Jenneke.
