Quiksilver and the Rossignol Group are beginning to warn some employees in various European countries, including Germany and Italy, that they may lose their jobs in connection with the planned reorganization and regrouping of the logistics and other back office functions. For example, Rossignol’s German subsidiary will probably shut down its present office and warehouse at Maisach in the short-medium term and transfer about one-half of its employees to a new common head office with Quiksilver in the Munich area. Meanwhile, Andrea Mainardi, who has left as softgoods manager of Rossignol, has been appointed as strategic consultant on special projects, reporting to Bernard Mariette, president of Quikilver.
