Quiksilver has established a distribution center in Rives, France, near Grenoble, to supply goods for Quiksilver and Rossignol stores and franchises, other points of sale and distributors in Europe, Russia and the Middle East. The California-based company is leasing the 18,000-square-meter facility, where about 60,000 items are processed daily; Quiksilver plans to increase this number to 100,000 in July. A French company, GT Logistics, runs the center, with 40 to 50 permanent employees receiving merchandise, preparing orders and labeling and shipping goods.
