Röhnisch, the Swedish women’s golf and fitness brand, is moving into the British golf market through a distribution agreement with Severn Under, the company that obtained a license for Greg Norman in Europe last year. Röhnisch has been sold in the British fitness market for several years by Outdoor Connect, but the company barely ventured into the golf business. Among the five agents selling Röhnisch for Severn Under is Louise Fletcher, a former golf pro and agent of Outdoor Connect, who became an exclusive agent for the Swedish brand. Headed by Tony Wilkinson, Severn Under otherwise has an agreement to sell socks by Lanner, another Swedish brand. The company’s efforts with Greg Norman this year have focused on the UK, which makes up about 80 percent of the brand’s European sales. It has retained existing distribution deals in a few other European countries, but none have been added under the new ownership. There are still some sizeable gaps in the network, particularly Sweden and France. Greg Norman is not allowed to sell in Italy and Spain, where rights to use a shark logo are reserved to Paul & Shark.
