Rallye has confirmed the finalization of the sale of the French Courir chain of athletic footwear stores to Equitone Partners Europe for €283 million. With 236 stores at the end of 2017, the chain had made that year a profit of €17.5 million on sales of €332 million. According to sport-guide.com, there is speculation now that it may want to divest also its multi-sport chain, Go Sport, which is working more closely with sports brands for its latest store concept. Go Sport's chief executive, André Ségura, has announced his departure. He has been replaced by a management consultant, Philippe Favre, who specializes in the transformation of businesses. According to AFP, Go Sport's sales grew by 6 percent last year to around €800 million.
