Rapala has announced the appointment of Jorma Kasslin, currently chief executive officer, as full-time executive chairman of the board, while the current deputy chief executive officer, Jussi Ristimäki, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. Ristimäki's previous responsibilities as chief financial officer will be shared between Anu Koskinen and Jan-Elof Cavander, who are named senior vice presidents, reporting to Ristimäki. In addition, Cyrille Viellard has been appointed to be in charge of the group's distribution in Europe - excluding Russia - and Latin America. Lars Ollberg, the current head of accessory and outdoor business and distribution in Asia-Pacific and Middle East, will additionally be responsible for the global co-ordination of the group's innovations as well as distribution in South Africa. Finally, Stanislas de Castelnau has been appointed head of manufacturing operations and global supply chain development, alongside his current role as head of hook and carp business unit, which he will maintain. All the changes are effective Sept. 1.
