Rapala VMC Corporation has redefined the classification of certain balance sheet items. The change in presentation leads to changes in the calculation of some key figures. For example, the return on equity for the third quarter of 2012 comes out as 3.7 percent, compared with the previously published ratio of 3.8 percent. On the other hand, the debt-to-equity ratio has been calculated at 65.4 percent as against 66.7 percent based on the previous criteria.
