Reebok has signed a six-year partnership deal with UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), the world's largest organization for the promotion of mixed martial arts. Under the terms of the agreement, for an unspecified amount of money, Reebok will be the exclusive supplier of uniforms and commercial outfitter of UFC worldwide. UFC didn't have a kit supplier until now, and the athletes had their own endorsement deals with individual brands. The Reebok/UFC apparel line, including “Fight Week gear,” “Fight Night kit,” and UFC fan gear, will be developed in conjunction with UFC and its athletes. The alliance between Reebok and UFC also has a charitable component. Starting in 2015, a portion of the proceeds from sales of the UFC/Reebok apparel in stores will be donated to Fight for Peace, an international NGO that uses boxing and martial arts, combined with education, to realize the potential of young people in communities affected by crime and violence (see also the article on the acquisition of Luta in this issue).
