Releasing its first Sustainability and Responsibility Report, VF Corp. says it will expand its CHEM-IQ program, intended to identify and eliminate, by 2015, harmful chemicals before they reach the manufacturing process. The report states that 10 percent of VF's sales are made with eco-friendly products and that 3 percent of its cotton will be sustainable by next year. Renewable energies are used at 31 facilities and the group is on track to reduce its carbon emissions by 5 percent in 2015. More in The Outdoor Industry Compass.
